The DaVinci IQ2 is a higher-end portable dry herb vaporizer with a replaceable 18650 cell and temperature control in Precision Mode. On this page you will find the complete user manual for DaVinci IQ2, prepared by VapeFully. It takes you from the first start-up, through temperature settings, to cleaning and typical problems.
What’s in the box
The DaVinci IQ2 manual refers to a few items you get together with the device:
- the DaVinci IQ2 vaporizer,
- a USB charging cable,
- a ceramic dosing pod for concentrates with a ceramic disc and cotton pads.
The manufacturer recommends a few starter accessories for the IQ2: the Swiss Grinder Fire grinder, VapeCleaner isopropyl alcohol for cleaning, the VapeStash herb container and an Integra Boost humidity pack. They are not in the basic set; you buy them separately.
First use
Before you pack the first chamber, charge the battery to full and run a burn-off with an empty chamber. The burn-off removes alcohol left over from cleaning and manufacturing residue from the heating system.
- Charge the battery to full with the included USB cable. A full charge takes around 6 hours.
- Assemble the device without filling the chamber with herb.
- Set the highest temperature and leave the vaporizer with an empty chamber for at least half an hour.
- After the burn-off, wait for the device to cool down, and you can pack the first chamber.
Step-by-step operation
The IQ2 is a session device, so using it comes down to packing the chamber, setting the temperature and taking calm draws. The general rules of inhalation technique are covered in our guide on how to use a vaporizer correctly.
- Grind your herb to a fine consistency and fill the dosing pod or the heating chamber directly. Pack it evenly.
- Switch the IQ2 on by pressing the main button 5 times quickly and rhythmically.
- Enter Precision Mode with a single press of the main button, then set the temperature with the adjustment buttons.
- Choose a temperature from the 120-221°C range, which covers most aromatherapy herbs as well as concentrates.
- Take long, calm and even draws. This technique gives the most vapour.
If you use concentrates, place a piece of cotton in the dosing pod, and on top of it the ceramic disc with a small amount of concentrate. Only then does the pod go into the chamber.
Modes and button shortcuts
Beyond the basic adjustment, the IQ2 has several functions activated with button combinations:
| Function | How to activate |
|---|---|
| Switching on and off | 5 quick presses of the main button |
| Precision Mode | a single press of the main button |
| BOOST mode (rapid heat-up) | holding the main button |
| STEALTH mode (LED brightness) | a button combination |
| Changing the temperature scale | pressing all three control buttons |
| Factory reset | holding the three buttons for 10 seconds on a switched-off device |
| Bluetooth | 5 presses of both temperature adjustment buttons |
Cleaning and maintenance
Soak the glass and metal parts in isopropyl alcohol (VapeCleaner) for about 15 minutes. Then rinse them thoroughly under running water and dry them.
Wash the silicone parts in warm water with washing-up liquid, rinse them well and dry them. Clean the heating chamber and the pearl with a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol.
Wipe the whole chamber, remove the dirt around it and finish with a gentle pass of a damp cloth. Regular cleaning after sessions limits resin build-up and keeps the vapour tasting clean.
Most common problems (DaVinci IQ2)
It does not turn on or does not charge
The IQ2 runs on a replaceable 18650 cell, so diagnose the battery first, not the device. Check the poles and the state of the contacts, and test a healthy, charged 18650 cell. A worn-out cell is not a defect of the equipment; a new one is cheap and you swap it yourself. If the device does not work despite a healthy, charged cell, that is grounds for a complaint.
Little vapour or weak flavour
The IQ2 heats by conduction, so take slow, even draws and leave several seconds or more between them. After the heat-up, wait 10-15 seconds before the first draw, which is always less abundant. Pack the chamber snugly to the top, but without hard tamping, and stir the herb at least once during the session. Drawing too fast cools the chamber and gives little vapour; that is a technique error, not a fault.
Vapour or smell from an empty chamber
Condensate collected under the chamber evaporates even when the chamber is empty. This is dirt typical for the IQ series, not a defect of the device. The solution is a thorough clean, including the removable flavour chamber.
Warranty
DaVinci covers the IQ2 with one of the longest warranties on the market, a full 10 years from the manufacturer, and independently of it you have 2 years of shop liability. The warranty does not cover normal battery degradation, accessories, wear of the hinges and mouthpieces, or faults caused by not cleaning the device as instructed. You can return a new, unused device within 30 days of purchase. The fault report and return procedure is on the Returns and complaints page.

Spare parts and accessories for DaVinci IQ2
The DaVinci IQ2 is currently not available for purchase in our shop.
The DaVinci IQ2 is intended exclusively for dry herb and aromatherapy, for adults (18+). Keep the device out of the reach of children. Pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and people with chronic conditions should consult a doctor before use.
The IQ2 is powered by a replaceable 18650 cell, so handle it with care. Use only a healthy cell with an undamaged wrap, and replace it with a new one at the slightest nick, bulge or trace of corrosion. For transport and storage keep the cell in a dedicated case, away from keys and coins, so the poles cannot short-circuit.
