First use
Before you pack the first chamber, prepare the device in three steps.
- Charge the battery. The first charge with the included USB cable should take about 2 hours; later charges take roughly an hour.
- Clean the device. Take it apart (seals, heating chamber, plastic cover, screen, cooling insert), soak the metal parts in isopropyl alcohol, and wash the plastic and silicone parts in warm water with washing-up liquid. Rinse and dry everything thoroughly before reassembly.
- Run a burn-off with an empty chamber. Switch the device on with five quick presses of the button and start heating with nothing inside. This burn-off removes factory residue before your first session with herb.
Step-by-step operation
The whole device is controlled with a single main button. The number of presses decides what happens, so click quickly and rhythmically.
Main button
Five quick presses switch the device on and off. One press shows the battery level, two presses change the temperature, and three activate session mode.
Packing the chamber
Grind your herb to a medium-fine consistency and fill the chamber to the top, but without pressing it down hard. The chamber holds about 0.1 g, so a single load really is very little material. Use the scoop built into the device to pick up ground herb from your grinder or tray.
Setting the temperature
The Vivant Vleaf GO has 3 temperature settings marked with colours. The manufacturer does not publish exact values in degrees, but with dry herb you are working roughly in the 180-220 degrees Celsius range. Start on the lowest setting and move it up during the session.

For concentrates, form a small ball of hemp fibre with the concentrate inside, place it in the chamber and set the highest temperature. The fibre protects the chamber from melted concentrate.
On-demand and session mode
By default the device heats only while you hold the button (instant mode). Three presses activate session mode, in which the heater runs for 30 seconds; this mode works best with a water filter.

Cleaning and maintenance
Every so often take the device apart: seals, heating chamber, plastic cover, screen and cooling insert. Soak the metal parts in isopropyl alcohol and wash the plastic and silicone parts in warm water with washing-up liquid.
After soaking, rinse and dry everything thoroughly. Only reassemble the device once every part is completely dry. Regular cleaning keeps the vapour tasting clean and the airflow unrestricted.

Most reports with this model come down to the battery or vapour that feels too warm. Run through the list below before you send the device in for service.
The device does not switch on
Check that you are pressing the button five times quickly and rhythmically; clicks that are too slow will not register. Then put the device on charge for 1-2 hours and try again. If there is still no reaction after a full charge, that is grounds for a complaint.
The vapour is too warm and harsh on the throat
This is the most common comment about this model: the vapour path is short and the cooling unit in the mouthpiece is small. Take slower draws at a lower temperature, or connect the device to a water filter; the Vleaf GO fits 10, 14 and 18 mm joints without adapters. The device is working as designed, so a service visit will not change anything here.
Weak vapour after a few loads
The built-in battery (around 900 mAh) delivers 5-6 loads, but holds full power only for the first 3-4. Check the battery level with a single press of the button and recharge the device. Only send it in for service if it barely heats when freshly charged.
A strange sound while drawing
A switched-on Vleaf GO makes a distinctive sound when you inhale. That is a trait of this model, not a fault; it has no effect on how the device works or on vapour quality, so there is nothing to claim for.
The mouthpiece gets warm with longer use
Two loads back to back can heat up the mouthpiece. Fit the silicone cover from the kit and take short breaks between chambers. This is normal behaviour for convection heating, not a reason for service.
