The XLUX Roffu is a portable, fully convection dry herb vaporizer made by the manufacturer known for the X-Max series. This page is the complete user manual for XLUX Roffu, prepared by VapeFully. It takes you from first use, through operating modes and temperatures, to cleaning and typical problems. Guides for other devices are collected in our user manuals hub.
What’s in the box
Inside the XLUX Roffu Lite Kit box you will find:
- XLUX Roffu vaporizer with a glass chamber,
- a manual and a quick start guide,
- 3 cleaning sticks with sharp tips,
- 2 seals plus a spare mouthpiece seal with a screen,
- 4 alcohol-soaked wipes,
- USB-C cable,
- cleaning brush.
The pricier full kit adds a grinder and a second chamber. If you are still choosing a version, the cheaper Lite Kit plus a separately bought second chamber works out more sensible than the full kit.
First use
Before you pack the first chamber, do three things: a full charge, a thorough clean and a burn-off with an empty chamber. This removes factory residue from the heating system and the vapour path.
- Charge the battery fully with any charger that has a USB-C output. The charge level is shown on the display.
- Disassemble the mouthpiece and clean the device as described in the cleaning section. The manufacturer recommends a deep clean even before first use.
- Switch the vaporizer on with five quick clicks of the “Roffu” button and set session mode.
- Set the highest temperature (220°C) and run the burn-off with an empty chamber for at least 15 minutes.
Step-by-step operation
The Roffu is operated with three buttons: “Roffu” plus the up and down arrows. General rules of draw technique are covered in more depth in our guide on how to use a vaporizer correctly.
- Remove the mouthpiece to reach the glass chamber. You can also take the chamber itself out and fill it straight from the grinder.
- Add medium-ground herb loosely, without pressing it down. The chamber holds a maximum of 0.1 g and works best with slightly less.
- Switch the device on with five quick clicks of the “Roffu” button.
- Set the temperature with the up and down arrows. Start around 170°C and increase gradually during the session. The full range is 100-220°C.
- Take long, calm draws. Full convection needs longer pulls than conduction devices.
- After the session wait for the chamber to cool, then empty it with the herb tool built into the body.
Session mode and On-Demand
Hold the up and down arrows together to switch between session mode and On-Demand. In On-Demand the heater runs while the button is pressed, so you take a draw exactly when you want it. The manufacturer designed the Roffu primarily around this mode, so switch to it as well whenever the device gets too hot in session mode.
Extraction is quick: a full chamber of good herb is done in about 3-5 minutes, depending on temperature. There is no need to stir the herb, because convection heats it evenly through the whole load.
Changing the temperature display and technical data
If the display shows degrees Fahrenheit, press the down arrow and the “Roffu” button at the same time. The device switches between °F and °C.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Heating system | full convection |
| Temperature range | 100-220°C |
| Operating modes | session and On-Demand |
| Chamber | replaceable, glass (optionally titanium), max 0.1 g |
| Battery | replaceable 18650 cell |
| Charging | USB-C |
Cleaning and maintenance
Disassemble the mouthpiece into its metal, silicone and ceramic parts. Soak the metal, ceramic and glass parts (including the removed chamber) in isopropyl alcohol. Parts that join ceramic with other materials, such as the top mouthpiece cover, should only be wiped with an alcohol-soaked stick, avoiding the magnets.
Wash the silicone parts in warm water with a mild detergent. After the alcohol soak, rinse everything in warm water and dry it thoroughly. Only reassemble the device once every part is completely dry.
The replaceable chamber makes the routine much simpler: you take it out, drop it into alcohol and that is that. Regular cleaning keeps the flavour full and the airflow free, so do not put it off until the vapour turns weak.
Most common problems (XLUX Roffu)
Does not switch on or charge
The Roffu has a replaceable 18650 cell, so diagnose the battery first, not the device. Check the polarity and the state of the contacts, and ideally test the vaporizer with another healthy 18650 cell. A worn-out cell is not a device fault; you replace it yourself. Charging over USB-C is not lightning fast and that is the norm for this model, not a defect.
Weak vapour
Full convection demands very long draws, much longer than conduction devices. Check the packing: herb added loosely, 0.1 g at most. CBD herb produces noticeably less vapour than THC herb and that is not a device fault. If the vapour weakens over time, remove the chamber and mouthpiece, then soak them in isopropyl alcohol.
The body and chamber get very warm
In session mode, during longer inhalations such as two chambers back to back, the top section around the chamber gets hot. The chamber itself is heated by the passing vapour and can burn you, which the device warns about with a symbol on the display. These are traits of a full convection design, not a fault. Give the device a short break or switch to On-Demand.
Cracked glass chamber
The chamber is thin glass and can shatter if dropped. That is mechanical damage, which the warranty does not cover. You can buy the chamber as a separate part, and if you often take the Roffu outdoors, consider the titanium version: tougher, with denser vapour, though slightly worse flavour.
Warranty
The XLUX Roffu is covered by a 2-year warranty (XLUX is the premium brand of the X-Max series manufacturer). Keep the original box with the serial number and your proof of purchase, because without them the manufacturer will not accept a claim. The warranty does not cover consumable parts, such as screens and seals, or mechanical damage, for example a shattered glass chamber. The procedure for reporting a fault or a return (you have 30 days for returns) is described on our Returns and complaints page.

The XLUX Roffu is intended solely for dry herb and aromatherapy, for adults (18+). Keep the device out of the reach of children. It runs on an 18650 cell: use only healthy cells with an undamaged wrap, insert them according to the polarity markings, and never carry a spare cell loose in a pocket with keys or coins. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and people with chronic conditions should consult a doctor before use. The XLUX Roffu is not a medical device.
