User Manual Arizer Solo 3 V2

The Arizer Solo 3 V2 is a premium portable dry herb vaporizer with two operating modes: session and on-demand. On this page you will find the complete user manual for Arizer Solo 3 V2, prepared by VapeFully. It takes you from the first start-up, through modes and temperatures, to cleaning and the most common problems.

What’s in the box

Before you begin, check the contents of the box and make sure nothing was damaged in transit. Pay particular attention to the glass parts, which you should inspect for cracks. The manufacturer’s manual lists the following items:

  • the Arizer Solo 3 V2 vaporizer,
  • glass aroma tubes (mouthpieces),
  • heat-resistant protective silicone caps,
  • the official Solo III charger.

Keep the packaging materials and small parts away from children, as they are a choking hazard. Keep the box as well, because the serial number on the original packaging may be needed for a warranty claim.

First use

Before the first session, charge the device to full and run a burn-off with an empty chamber. This removes factory residue from the heating system.

  1. Charge the battery to full. This can take up to 3-4 hours, and a full charge gives around 3 hours of use.
  2. Clean the inside of the chamber with a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol. Squeeze the excess alcohol out of the tip first.
  3. Soak the mouthpieces in a container of isopropyl alcohol, rinse them under running water and dry them thoroughly.
  4. Run the burn-off: set the maximum temperature of 220°C in session mode for about 10 minutes, then continue with the mouthpiece attached for another 10 minutes.
  5. Check whether any unusual smells are still coming from the chamber. If so, repeat the burn-off.

Step-by-step operation

The Solo 3 V2 works in two modes that run a session very differently. Session mode gives longer sessions of several draws, while on-demand mode is shorter and more intensive, and works well with a bong. You choose the mode after unlocking the device. The general rules of inhalation technique are covered in our guide on how to use a vaporizer correctly.

Switching on and unlocking

Press and hold the middle button until three dots appear on the screen. Then enter the unlock code: by default the left, up and right arrows. The correct combination for your unit is printed on the bottom of the device. After unlocking, choose session or on-demand mode.

To switch the device off, hold the middle button for about 3 seconds. You enter the settings menu by holding the right arrow, and return to mode selection by holding the left arrow.

Temperature control

The up arrow raises the temperature, the down arrow lowers it, and the middle button confirms your choice. In on-demand mode you have five temperature levels: you select them with a quick double press of the left or right arrow. Heating starts when you press the up arrow, and you begin your draw when all the rectangles light up orange.

The Solo 3 V2 supports a wide 50-220°C range. The values below are a starting point for dry herb.

Session goalTemperature
Session start, gentler vapour180-185°C
Everyday use190-195°C
More vapourabove 200°C
Maximum and burn-off220°C

Packing the chamber and the session

  1. Grind your herb to a medium-fine consistency and fill the chamber without packing it too tightly.
  2. Attach the mouthpiece to the chamber and start the heating. Once the set temperature is reached, wait another 15-20 seconds.
  3. Start inhaling at around 180-185°C, gradually raising the temperature to 190-195°C. For more vapour, go above 200°C.
  4. Take long, slow draws, as they increase vapour production. Carry on at your chosen temperature until the vapour stops coming.

The Solo 3 V2 supports a wide temperature range, so besides dry herb it also handles concentrates. For concentrates, use degummed hemp fibre: form a small ball with the concentrate inside and place it in the chamber of the glass mouthpiece. Use only concentrates that are legal in your country.

Cleaning and maintenance

The Solo 3 V2 needs practically no maintenance. When travelling, simply swap in pre-packed glass aroma tubes without emptying the chamber, and clean the glass periodically for the best flavour and performance.

You can clean the glass parts by soaking them in isopropyl alcohol for a few hours and then rinsing them with hot water. In most cases this completely removes residue from the glass aroma tubes. Repeat if needed.

Always make sure the glass elements are completely dry before using them again. Do not expose hot glass parts to cold water or sudden temperature changes, as this risks cracking.

Most common problems (Arizer Solo 3 V2)

Burnt taste or scorched herb

Check how you pack the chamber. The herb must not touch the heater, leave about a millimetre of space from the edge of the glass, and too much herb in the chamber leads to scorching. Particles that fall onto the heater cover also burn, so clean it with a cotton bud. If the device raises the temperature on its own and burns the load despite a correct setting, that is an electronics fault and a matter for a complaint.

A short pause in heating in on-demand mode

The Solo 3 can pause its heating for about 3 seconds before carrying on. This is a characteristic of on-demand mode, not a defect. It does not qualify for a complaint.

High draw resistance

The Solo 3 has a noticeable draw resistance, a bit like sipping a thick milkshake through a straw. This is normal for this model. If you want to reduce it, pack the chamber slightly looser and do not grind your herb too finely.

The seal or the glass mouthpiece

Fit the mouthpiece only after the device has warmed up, never cold, as this protects both the seal and the glass. Do not empty the chamber by blowing into it, because the screen from the bottom will fly out along with the herb. A seal or glass cracked by cold fitting counts as user error, and the part can be bought separately.

The device does not charge

The V2 version charges via USB-C and accepts typical chargers. If it does not charge, try a different cable and charger, and check that the port is not dirty. Remember that the device will not start with a completely flat battery, so wait a few minutes after connecting the power.

Warranty

The Arizer Solo 3 V2 is covered by a limited 2-year warranty on material and workmanship defects, a lifetime warranty on the heating element and a 1-year warranty on the battery. Glass is not covered, and the protection does not apply to damage from drops, tampering, modification or misuse. Keep your proof of purchase and the box with the serial number. At VapeFully you have 30 days to return your order; you can report a fault via the Returns and complaints page.

FAQ: common questions about the Arizer Solo 3 V2

How do I turn on and unlock the Arizer Solo 3 V2?

Hold the middle button until three dots appear, then enter the unlock code: by default left, up, right. The correct sequence for your unit is printed on the bottom of the device.

What temperature should I start with?

Start at 180-185°C and increase gradually to 190-195°C. For denser vapour, go above 200°C. The full range is 50-220°C.

What is the difference between session mode and on-demand mode?

Session mode gives a longer session of several draws. On-demand mode is shorter and more intensive, and pairs well with a bong, where you empty the chamber in a few draws. You choose the mode after unlocking the device.

Is the Solo 3 V2 suitable for concentrates?

Yes. Form a small ball of degummed hemp fibre with the concentrate inside and put it in the chamber of the glass mouthpiece. Use only concentrates that are legal in your country.
