The VonG (i): Titanium is a fully analogue DynaVap dry herb vaporizer, with no battery or electronics, heated with a butane torch or an induction heater. This page is the complete user manual for VonG (i), prepared by VapeFully. It takes you from cleaning before first use, through heating and airflow control, to maintenance and typical problems. What’s in the box

The kit contains the VonG (i): Titanium vaporizer itself. It consists of several parts you can take apart, and you will get to know them during the first clean:

• chamber cap,
• herb chamber,
• grooved crown,
• sleeve,
• cylinder,
• condenser,
• mouthpiece.

For everyday use you also need a butane torch or an induction heater, bought separately. The VonG (i) has no battery, so you provide the heat source yourself.

First use

Before you pack the first chamber, clean the device thoroughly and run a heating cycle with nothing inside. This removes manufacturing residue from the metal.

1. Remove the chamber cap and set it aside. Then pull the chamber straight up to take it off.
2. Remove the grooved crown from under the chamber by pulling it with a gentle twist. Take the sleeve off the same way.
3. Slide the cylinder off the condenser. This part does not need twisting.
4. Push the condenser forwards, out through the mouthpiece, pressing it towards the mouthpiece end.
5. Soak the steel parts in isopropyl alcohol, ideally in VapeCleaner. Clean the seals and the cap with soapy water only.
6. Once everything is dry, reassemble the vaporizer and run a heating cycle at the highest temperature with no herb in the chamber.

When reassembling, find the arrow engraved on the cylinder. It should line up with the centre of the DynaVap logo on the mouthpiece. The condenser goes into the mouthpiece last, after the other parts are together.

Step-by-step operation

You heat the VonG (i) with an external flame and read the temperature from the distinctive click of the cap. General rules of draw technique are covered in more depth in our guide on how to use a vaporizer correctly.

1. Grind your herb finely and pack the chamber. This version also suits herbs with vaporization temperatures of 170-215°C.
2. Fit the chamber cap and heat it with a butane torch or an induction heater.
3. Aiming the flame at different parts of the cap gives different temperatures. It is a bit like cooking on different hob power levels.
4. Wait for the double click of the cap. That is the signal that the right temperature has been reached and you can draw.
5. Twisting the middle collar adjusts the airflow. In one position the vapour is gentler, in another dense and intense.
6. Before heating the chamber again, wait for the next click of the cap. This keeps things safe and inhalation conditions optimal.

For concentrates use a DynaCoil insert, or form a small ball of clean hemp fibre and place the concentrate inside it. That ball then goes into the chamber.

Cleaning and maintenance

Take the device apart just like before first use. Soak the steel parts in isopropyl alcohol, for example in VapeCleaner. Clean the seals and the cap with soapy water only, because alcohol does them no good.

Once every part is dry, reassemble the vaporizer. Line up the arrow on the cylinder with the centre of the DynaVap logo on the mouthpiece, and insert the condenser last. Regular cleaning preserves the vapour flavour and the performance of the device.

Most common problems (VonG (i))

Little vapour or a burnt taste

A small flame, around 1 cm, works best. A bigger one heats faster but less evenly, and scorches the herb more easily. One load of herb usually lasts about three heat-ups, after which the herb turns dark brown and needs replacing.

Herb runs out quickly

The VonG (i) chamber holds a maximum of about 0.1 g of herb, so a single session is shorter than with session vaporizers. Grind finely and do not cram the chamber, or you will restrict the airflow. You can happily pack even half that amount.

The body gets warm

During longer sessions the VonG (i) body warms up slightly and that is normal for this model. Take breaks between heat-ups and let the metal cool down. The titanium tip itself heats up fast, but it cools down just as quickly.

Hard to get consistent results at first

The VonG (i) takes a bit of practice and experimenting before you find your technique. Remember which spot on the cap you aim the flame at and how long you heat before the first click. With time the handling becomes intuitive.

Rust or a cracked part

DynaVap metal parts, tips and caps are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If you spot rust on the cap or a crack in the metal, contact us and describe the problem. A defect like that qualifies for a claim.

Warranty

DynaVap covers the VonG (i) with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects in the metal, tips and caps, while glass and wooden parts sit outside its scope. Independently of that, VapeFully is liable for the device under statutory warranty for 24 months from purchase, and you have 30 days to return a new, unused product. The VonG (i) is intended solely for plant material, for adults (18+). Do not use it with liquids or tobacco, and keep it out of the reach of children and pets. Remember that you heat it with an open flame, and the cap and tip stay hot after heating, so hold the device by the cool part of the body.
