Hemp cosmetics are natural skincare built around hemp seed oil – no THC, no intoxicating effect, but plenty of fatty acids and antioxidants.
In this category you’ll find products for skin, hair and body: balms, scrubs, body lotions, creams, serums, shampoo and soap. Most of them work well on dry, sensitive and irritation-prone skin.
Before you choose, start with one question: what does your skin actually need – deep hydration, after-sun recovery or gentle everyday care? That’s what decides which product in our range is the right fit for you.
Types of hemp cosmetics – what does what
Despite the name, most hemp cosmetics contain no CBD and certainly no THC. Their active ingredient is usually hemp seed oil – cold-pressed and rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids plus vitamin E. That’s what handles the moisturising, helps rebuild the skin’s lipid barrier, and gives a lighter, less heavy feel than many conventional cosmetics.
Hemp products differ mainly in their format, where you apply them and how intense they are. You’ll pick one cosmetic for dried-out hands, another for caring for your whole body after a shower, and something different again for a beard or hair.
| If you’re after… | Look at… |
|---|---|
| everyday body hydration | body lotions and creams with hemp oil, jar size, lightness of the formula |
| recovery for dry skin on hands and feet | protective creams, a thicker consistency, how often you’ll apply them |
| cleansing and smoothing the skin | hemp scrubs, the type of exfoliating particles, the scent |
| caring for sensitive, irritation-prone skin | a short, natural ingredient list, no synthetic additives, serums |
| washing hair and scalp | shampoo and soap with hemp oil, a gentle cleansing base |
| beard care | beard oil, softness and hydration of the hair |
At VapeFully we stock products with a simple, readable ingredient list from brands we know. We look at where the hemp oil comes from, whether the formula isn’t overloaded with unnecessary additives, and how the cosmetic performs in daily use – not just on the label.
How to choose a hemp cosmetic?
First decide what it’s for and what skin type you have. Someone with very dry, tight skin will reach for a different product than someone simply looking for a natural everyday lotion. Hemp oil is also well tolerated by sensitive and atopic skin, though if you’re prone to allergies it’s always worth checking the full ingredient list.
A good choice doesn’t have to be expensive. In this category prices start from a few euros for a hand cream, and most products sit in the €7-14 range.
For body care
Here the workhorses are body lotions, creams and scrubs. A hemp oil body lotion (e.g. India Cosmetics, 400 ml) works as an everyday moisturiser after a shower. A hemp scrub – available in coconut, citrus or CBD versions (Kombinat Konopny, 500 mg CBD) – cleanses and smooths the skin before you apply lotion.
If you want to target specific areas, reach for spot products: a protective hand cream or a foot cream. They have a thicker consistency and stay longer on skin that’s exposed to drying out.
For sensitive and dry skin
On dry, tight or irritation-prone skin, a hemp oil serum and cosmetics with a short, natural ingredient list work well. Hemp seed oil helps rebuild the lipid barrier and limit water loss, so the skin is less likely to feel tight.
A warming CBD balm (Kombinat Konopny, 500 mg) is, in turn, a product for local use – on tired muscles and joints after exertion.
For hair, beard and washing
Hemp oil also goes into washing products and beard care. A hemp oil shampoo (India Cosmetics, 400 ml) and a liquid soap make a gentler base for everyday washing, while beard oil (Kombinat Konopny) softens the hair and moisturises the skin beneath the beard.

What to look at before buying
A few things genuinely affect whether a hemp cosmetic will serve you and suit your skin.
Ingredients and origin of the oil
Check whether on the ingredient list (INCI) hemp oil – Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil – actually sits near the top, and not just in a trace amount at the very end. The shorter and more natural the formula, the lower the risk of irritating sensitive skin. Some products also contain CBD extract – we flag that in the product description.
Skin type and intended use
Hemp cosmetics are well tolerated by dry, sensitive and atopic skin, but a face product, a body product and a wash product are not the same thing. Match the format (serum, lotion, cream, scrub) to the body area and the effect you’re after.
Size and cost of use
A 400 ml lotion will last a long time for the whole body, while a 100 ml hand cream is for topping up through the day. When buying, compare the price per millilitre, not just the price on the label – with larger packs, care works out cheaper.
