The Fenix Mini is one of the smallest portable dry herb vaporizers and for years the most popular first choice for beginners. On this page you will find the complete user manual for Fenix Mini, prepared by VapeFully. It takes you from the first start-up, through the temperature settings, to cleaning and the most typical problems.
What’s in the box
Inside the box with the Fenix Mini vaporizer you will find:
- the Fenix Mini vaporizer,
- a seal with a screen,
- a USB cable,
- a tamping tool,
- a cleaning brush,
- tweezers,
- a quartz container for concentrates.
The kit does not include a wall adapter for charging. Any 5V/1A USB charger will do, for example one from an older phone.
First use
Before you pack the first chamber, do two things: a full charge and a burn-off of the chamber. This removes factory residue from the heating system.
- Charge the device for 2 hours, even if the indicator shows a full battery straight away.
- Switch the vaporizer on with five quick clicks of the power button (within 2 seconds).
- Set the maximum temperature of 220°C and leave the device running with an empty chamber.
- The Fenix Mini switches off automatically, so keep turning it back on until the burn-off lasts at least 25 minutes in total.
- Continue the burn-off until no unwanted smell comes from the chamber. Sometimes this takes longer than 25 minutes.
Step-by-step operation
Operating the Fenix Mini is about as simple as vaporizers get. It comes down to grinding your herb, packing the chamber and setting the temperature.
- Grind your dry herb to a medium consistency. Do not grind it to dust, or you will restrict the airflow.
- Fill the chamber, ideally to the top and at least halfway. Do not tamp the herb down, because hot air needs to flow through it freely.
- Fit the mouthpiece and switch the vaporizer on with five quick clicks of the power button within 2 seconds.
- Set the temperature with the “+” and “-” buttons. The available range is 160-220°C.
- Wait for the heater to warm up. It takes less than 30 seconds.
- Take long, calm draws of 10-15 seconds each. Leave around 15 seconds between draws so the heater can return to the set temperature.
- After the session, wait for the chamber to cool down, then empty it and clean out the residue.
The Fenix Mini switches off automatically after 4 minutes. That is a chamber safety feature, not a signal that the herb is fully vaporized. You can switch the device straight back on without waiting for it to cool down.
You can also stop a session at any point without wasting much material, simply by switching the vaporizer off. For better flavour, pause the session halfway through, wait for the chamber to cool and stir the herb before turning the heater back on. Just remember that the Fenix Mini cannot be used while charging.
Changing the temperature display and technical specifications
If the display shows degrees Fahrenheit, hold the power button together with “+” or “-” for two seconds. The device toggles between °F and °C.

Cleaning and maintenance
After each session, empty the chamber once it has cooled and brush it out with the brush from the kit. Cooling herb releases resin onto the chamber walls, so the sooner you remove it, the less often you need a deep clean.
For a thorough clean, use a cotton bud lightly moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Wipe the chamber and the inside of the mouthpiece with it. Then rinse the mouthpiece in plenty of lukewarm water and dry it completely before putting it back on.
The body of the vaporizer and the outside of the mouthpiece only need a wipe with a damp cloth. Store the Fenix Mini in a dry place, away from light and heat sources.
Most common problems (Fenix Mini)
Weak vapour or weak flavour
Check the packing: herb ground to dust or tamped down hard blocks the airflow. Extend your draws to 10-15 seconds and raise the temperature by a few degrees. Dark brown herb that tastes like burnt popcorn is already spent and needs replacing.
The device will not turn on
Make sure you click the power button 5 times within 2 seconds, because slower clicks will not register. If the display shows an empty battery symbol, plug the charger in. Do not force the device on with a weak battery, because draining it to zero can damage it.
The “Protect” message on the display
“Protect” indicates a device error and you cannot fix it yourself. Contact us and describe when the message appears. A fault like that qualifies for a warranty claim.
Short battery life
The built-in 1600 mAh battery lasts around 40 minutes of use and its capacity drops over time. After roughly a year and a half of heavy use, that is normal wear. If a new device dies after a few minutes, though, report it for a warranty claim.
The mouthpiece loosens or changes colour
The snap-on mouthpiece wears with time and starts to fall off. It is a consumable part that you can simply buy as a replacement. The plastic of the mouthpiece also reacts to isopropyl alcohol and can change colour, so clean it sparingly with a moistened cotton bud rather than soaking it.
Warranty
The Fenix Mini is covered by a 2-year warranty. It does not cover consumable parts, above all the snap-on mouthpiece, which wears out during normal use. You have 30 days to return a device bought from VapeFully. The claim and return procedure is described on the Returns and complaints page.
