Mighty+ is a portable session vaporizer from Storz & Bickel with hybrid heating, made entirely in Germany. This is the complete user manual for Mighty+, prepared by VapeFully based on the manufacturer’s materials. It takes you from charging and the first burn-off, through temperature settings, to cleaning the cooling unit and typical problems. Guides for other devices are in our user manuals hub.
What’s in the box
The manufacturer’s manual refers to items you will use from the very first session:
- the Mighty+ vaporizer with a cooling unit and mouthpiece,
- a USB-C charging cable,
- a 0.15 g dosing capsule,
- an O-ring removal tool built into the bottom of the device.
First use
Before you pack the first chamber, charge the battery fully and run an empty burn-off. This removes residue from the manufacturing process.
- Charge the battery fully with the included USB-C cable. A full charge shows as an icon with six full squares, and a flashing battery outline is the sign that it is time to plug in the charger.
- Take the cooling unit apart. Split the mouthpiece, then gently separate the parts by prising up the round piece with the screen. Do not use sharp tools, or you may damage the O-rings.
- Remove the O-rings with the tool from the bottom of the device. Submerge the cooling unit parts, except the plate with the logo, in isopropyl alcohol (ISO), then wash them in warm water with washing-up liquid and rinse thoroughly.
- Wipe the inside of the heating chamber with a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol.
- Set the highest temperature of 210°C and let the device run with an empty chamber for about 15 minutes. If it switches off earlier, switch it back on.
Step-by-step operation
Operating the Mighty+ is dead simple: you switch it on, set the temperature and take long draws. The general rules of inhalation technique are described in our guide on how to use a vaporizer correctly.
- Switch the device on by holding the main button for at least 3 seconds, until it vibrates. The vibration is the signal that it has switched on correctly.
- Grind the herb to a medium-fine consistency. Fill the heating chamber completely, about 0.25 g, and tamp the herb down lightly. For a smaller portion, use the 0.15 g dosing capsule.
- Set the temperature with the “+” and “-” buttons. You have a range of 40-210°C to work with.
- Start at 180-185°C to bring out the aroma of the herb. After a few draws, raise the temperature to 190-195°C for more vapour. When vapour production drops, go above 200°C.
- Take long, slow draws. The Mighty+ is a session model, so use up the whole load in one session.
To switch the display between °C and °F, hold both temperature adjustment buttons at the same time. To do a factory reset, hold the main button for 10 seconds after switching the device on.
The Mighty+ also vaporizes concentrates using the dedicated drip pads. Grind the herb medium-fine and do not pack it too firmly, because free airflow gives more vapour.
| Session stage | Temperature |
|---|---|
| Start, for aroma | 180-185°C |
| Optimal vapour production | 190-195°C |
| When vapour drops off | above 200°C |
| Full device range | 40-210°C |
Cleaning and maintenance
A dosing capsule slows down chamber soiling considerably, because the resin builds up in the capsule instead of on the walls. If you use one, remove it straight after the session, while it is still warm.
You clean the cooling unit the same way as before the first use. Take it apart, remove the O-rings with the tool from the bottom of the device and soak the parts in isopropyl alcohol, leaving out the plate with the logo. Wipe the heating chamber with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.
If the cooling unit refuses to open, it is glued shut with resin. Heat the device up and take a few draws, and it will come apart without a fight. Store the Mighty+ in a dry place, away from moisture, high temperatures and sunlight.
Most common problems (Mighty+)
The housing and mouthpiece get quite hot
The housing and mouthpiece warming up during a longer session is normal. Be careful, and during long, intensive sessions give the device a short rest so it stays comfortable to use.
The device won’t charge or charges slowly
First try a different USB-C cable and a different charger. Fast charging needs a powerful charger, for example a laptop one, so slow charging on a weak power supply is not a fault. If the device will not charge despite a working power supply, or loses capacity drastically, send it to the manufacturer’s service centre.
The display goes dark or has dead pixels
This is a genuine hardware defect that you cannot repair at home. Charge the device, restart it and take a photo of the symptom. A fault like this qualifies for a warranty claim.
The vapour can be dry and scratchy on the throat
Dry vapour is a characteristic of Storz & Bickel vaporizers, especially at high temperatures and towards the end of a session. Go lower with the temperature and take shorter draws, and your throat will feel the dryness less. This is not a fault.
The device tips over when you stand it up
The Mighty+ feet will not hold it upright in the standard configuration. To make it stand stable, take the cooling unit out and insert it upside down. This is a known design quirk, not a defect.
Warranty
The Mighty+ comes with a 2-year warranty, extended by an extra year when you register the device with the manufacturer, up to 3 years in total. Register within 4 weeks of purchase; the serial number needed for a claim is on the original packaging, so keep the box. You will also need proof of purchase for a claim, and an e-invoice is enough. You have 30 days to return the product. The full claims and returns procedure is on our Returns and complaints page.
Spare parts and accessories for Mighty+
The vaporizer itself is available at VapeFully: Mighty+ (Plus) Medic – Portable Vaporizer (€299).
Accessories in stock right now:
The Mighty+ is intended solely for plant material and concentrates, for adults aged 18 or over. Do not use it with tobacco or products containing nicotine. Keep the device out of the reach of children and pets, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. If you feel any irritation in your airways, stop using it.
The Mighty+ battery (a dual 18650 cell) is built in and not user-replaceable. Charge it only with the USB-C cable and do not try to swap the cells yourself, as this risks voiding the warranty. Battery replacement after a failure is handled by the manufacturer’s service centre.
