VENTY is the flagship portable session vaporizer from Storz & Bickel, with full temperature control from 40 to 210°C and adjustable draw resistance. Below you will find the complete user manual for Venty, prepared by VapeFully. It takes you from the first burn-off, through Boost mode, to weekly cleaning and typical problems.
What’s in the box
In the box with the VENTY vaporizer you will find a USB-C cable, a brush for wiping the screen and a spare, finer screen that lets fewer herb particles through. Two things the kit does not include: a mains charger (fast charging needs a power supply of at least 15 W / 1.5 A) and dosing capsules, which fit the chamber but are bought separately.
First use
- Charge the battery fully with the included USB-C cable. The battery is full when the bars in the battery symbol stop flashing and shine steadily.
- Switch the device on by pressing the power button for at least half a second. The Venty vibrates and the temperature appears on the display.
- Take apart and clean the cooling unit and the chamber (steps below) to remove manufacturing residue.
- Sterilise the device: set the highest temperature (210°C) and let it run with an empty chamber for about 15 minutes. Repeat if needed.
- Venty switches itself off after 2 minutes of inactivity, so press the plus or minus button from time to time during the burn-off.
Step-by-step operation
- Fill the chamber with medium-ground herb. In this model the herb should be packed slightly.
- Attach the mouthpiece and switch the device on with the power button (at least half a second).
- Set the temperature with the plus and minus buttons under the display, in the 40-210°C range.
- Wait for the vibration: it means the device has reached the target temperature.
- Start at lower temperatures and raise the setting gradually to get more vapour. You adjust the draw resistance with the dial under the mouthpiece.
- After the session, let the device cool down and empty the chamber of spent herb.
Boost mode: press the power button twice during a session and the temperature rises by 15°C. Boost switches off automatically after 90 seconds. Via Bluetooth and the mobile app you can configure the Booster and Super-Booster modes, vibrations, the LED and economical charging up to 80%.
Venty vaporizes concentrates too: place degummed hemp fibre with a small amount of concentrate in the chamber and set the maximum temperature. We describe general inhalation technique in our guide on how to use a dry herb vaporizer correctly.
Cleaning and maintenance
With daily use, a full clean of the cooling unit once a week is the normal maintenance rhythm for the Venty. After about a week the condensate clearly degrades vapour quality, and weeks of neglect can end with condensate leaking straight into the hot chamber.
- Gently lever the mouthpiece out of its slot in the cooling unit. Use it to unscrew the orange nut on the other side, lift the housing of the unit and remove all the elements together with the seals.
- Soak the plastic parts and the screens in isopropyl alcohol, then wash them in warm water with washing-up liquid and rinse thoroughly.
- Wash the seals in warm soapy water only, with no alcohol.
- Wipe the heating chamber with a cotton swab dampened with alcohol, holding the device upside down. Squeeze the excess alcohol out of the swab first.
- After reassembly, run an empty burn-off at the highest temperature (210°C).
Most common problems (Venty)
The temperature drops by itself mid-session
That is neither a reset nor a fault. The Boost and Super-Boost modes return to the base temperature after a set time, by default around 90 seconds, without a clear signal. You can change the duration in the mobile app.
Weaker vapour, heavy draw, dripping condensate
That is condensate and kief, not a defect. Do a full clean of the cooling unit and the chamber, and with daily use clean the device weekly. A cooling unit glued shut with resin opens easily once you warm the device up and take a few draws.
Charging takes a long time
Fast charging to 80% in 40 minutes requires a charger rated at a minimum of 15 W and 1.5 A, which is not in the kit. Slow charging on a weaker power supply is not a fault, just a matter of the charger.
The battery lasts shorter than at the start
After a few months of heavy use, some drop in runtime is normal. A drastic loss of capacity within the warranty period qualifies for a claim, because the battery is built in and only the service centre can replace it.
Errors, sunken buttons, no response
The first Venty production runs had an elevated failure rate and many units were replaced under warranty. If cleaning, a full charge and a restart do not clear the symptom, do not drag out the diagnosis, just file a warranty claim.
Warranty
Storz & Bickel gives the Venty a 2-year warranty plus an extra year if you register the device on the manufacturer’s website within 4 weeks of purchase. For registration and claims you need the serial number from the original packaging and the invoice, so keep the box and the proof of purchase. At VapeFully you also have 30 days to return your purchase. You will find the claim procedure on the Returns and complaints page.
