Tinymight 2 Black is the refreshed edition of the Finnish convection vaporizer: it gains a zirconia ceramic mouthpiece, a stainless steel Cooling Unit V2, a Molicel P30B battery and automatic shut-off in session mode. This is the complete user manual for Tinymight 2 Black, prepared for you by the VapeFully team. It takes you from the first burn-off all the way to troubleshooting.
What’s in the box
The Black edition leaves the factory in a new hardware configuration. You get the following items together with the device.
- Tinymight 2 Black vaporizer
- zirconia (zirconium ceramic) mouthpiece with a polished surface
- Cooling Unit V2 in stainless steel, machined from a single piece
- 18650 Molicel P30B battery
- barrel tube with a double screen system
The degummed hemp fibre pad for concentrates is not part of the kit and you buy it separately. You will find the current box contents on the product page in our shop.
First use
Before you load the first herb, prepare the device in three steps. It takes about fifteen minutes, most of which is the burn-off.
- Charge the device with a charger rated at 2 A or more. The red LED stays on for the whole charging cycle and goes out when the cell is full. If you insert your own battery, choose an 18650 with a continuous discharge rating of at least 20 A.
- Wipe the herb chamber and the lower part of the mouthpiece with a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol. Clean the upper part of the mouthpiece inside and out.
- Run an empty burn-off: dial set to 10, session mode, 10 minutes of heating. This removes factory smells and completes the preparation.
Step-by-step operation
The temperature dial sits on the bottom of the device and doubles as a lock. At position 0 the vaporizer will not respond to the button; turn the dial higher first and only then switch it on.
Loading: into the mouthpiece or straight into the chamber
The Black edition gives you two options. The classic way: remove the mouthpiece, pour medium-ground herb into its lower section and tamp it down lightly so nothing spills out when you reassemble. The second option is Direct Chamber Loading, which means pouring the herb straight into the heating chamber of the device.
Do not pack the material tightly. Close the chamber with the screened mouthpiece and press it in gently until everything sits firmly.
On-demand mode and session mode
You activate on-demand mode with three quick presses of the button; the heater only runs while you hold the button down. Session mode starts with the same combination, except you keep holding the last press until the device vibrates. In the Black edition session mode has an automatic shut-off timer, so the device will not heat indefinitely.
Boost mode in on-demand
A new feature of the Black edition: boost also works in on-demand mode. Hold the button until the readiness vibration, release it and immediately press again, this time without letting go. A double vibration confirms that boost is active.
Setting the temperature
Start a dry herb session from the middle of the scale, for example position 4-5, and raise the temperature gradually. Apply concentrates in a small amount onto a ball of degummed hemp fibre and heat at 9-9.5; the fibre protects the inside of the device from melted material.
| Dial | Temperature | Use |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | no heating | device lock |
| 1-2 | 140-150°C | low temperatures, delicate flavour |
| 3-5 | 160-180°C | medium temperatures, session start |
| 6-8 | 190-210°C | high temperatures, dense vapour |
| 9-10 | 220-250°C | maximum: cleaning and concentrates |
In session mode the upper temperature limit is 230°C. We cover inhalation technique and general rules of working with a vaporizer in our guide on how to use a dry herb vaporizer correctly.
Cleaning and maintenance
The basic tool is a cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol. Use it regularly on the herb chamber and on the lower and upper parts of the mouthpiece, inside and out. You can taste a clean vapour path straight away.
The Cooling Unit V2 comes apart and handles isopropyl alcohol cleaning without complaint. A small brush will get it clean even without removing the o-rings, and the unit can also work without them.
The zirconia mouthpiece has a polished surface, so residue comes off it more easily than off glass. One rule: never cool a hot mouthpiece rapidly, for example with cold water. The new barrel tube also makes screen changes easier, and the double screen system keeps fine particles out of the heater.
Most common problems (Tinymight 2 Black)
Rule number one with this vaporizer: before you think about a repair, test it with another healthy, fully charged 18650 cell. The battery is removable and most support tickets end right there, not with the electronics.
It will not turn on or charge
Look at the dial first: position 0 is the lock, not a fault. Then remove the cell, check the polarity, clean the contacts of any condensate and insert another healthy 18650. If the vaporizer stays silent despite a good cell and clean contacts, file a warranty claim.
The power button sticks
The button usually jams because of condensate and dirt that build up around it over time. Clean the area around the button with a swab and isopropyl alcohol, then check whether it clicks freely. If it still sticks mechanically, the device qualifies for service.
It overheats or switches off mid-session
A worn-out cell cannot hold voltage under the heavy load of the convection heater and the device can then cut out. Insert a fresh 18650 with a discharge rating of at least 20 A and repeat the session. Remember too that in session mode the Black edition switches itself off after a set time; that is a feature, not a failure. Service only comes into play when the vaporizer dies with a new battery at normal temperatures.
No vibration
Vibrations can disappear on a weak cell, so start the test by swapping in a healthy battery. Check at the same time that the contacts are clean. If the device heats but does not vibrate despite a good cell, that is a fault to claim under warranty.
Weaker vapour output
Weak vapour usually means clogged screens, residue in the vapour path or a dead cell. Clean the screens and the Cooling Unit V2, use medium-ground herb and fit a charged battery. Only if the vapour is still clearly weaker than on day one should you send the device in for service.
Battery charging trouble
Use a charger rated at 2 A or more and test the cable on another device. The red LED should stay on during charging and go out when it finishes. A cell that still refuses to charge is most likely worn out; you can replace it yourself in seconds. Service applies when the device will not charge any healthy cell at all.
Warranty
The manufacturer, the Finnish company JTJS Products Oy, covers the Tinymight 2 Black with a 3-year warranty from delivery. One condition: register the device on the manufacturer’s website within a year of delivery. The warranty is one-time and non-transferable, so it protects the first owner only, and you file a claim with the original invoice within 2 months of discovering the fault. Independently of the manufacturer, the shop is liable to you for 24 months, and at VapeFully you also have 30 days to return your purchase. You will find the full procedure on the Returns and complaints page.
