What’s in the box
Alongside the vaporizer you get a USB-C cable for charging the replaceable 18650 battery. This version is designed for dry herb only, without the concentrate pod known from the base V3 Pro. First use
- Charge the device fully with the supplied USB-C cable. Charging is complete when the LED in the USB port turns green.
- Clean the device: wipe the heating chamber with a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol, clean the screen and the glass mouthpiece with alcohol, and wash the silicone and plastic parts in warm water with washing-up liquid. Rinse and dry everything.
- Run a burn-off: switch the device on with an empty chamber, set the highest temperature and leave it until it switches itself off.
- Repeat the burn-off a few times before you pack your first herb.
Step-by-step operation
- Grind your herb to a medium-fine consistency and fill the chamber to the top without packing it down too firmly.
- Switch the device on by clicking the power button 3 times.
- Set the temperature with the adjustment buttons within the 100-220°C range. The device vibrates once it reaches the target temperature.
- Start your session at 180-185°C, taking long, slow and steady draws. Raise the temperature gradually during the session for a stronger effect.
Two button combinations change the settings: holding the power button together with the temperature-up button for 2 seconds switches between operating modes (including session length and temperature scaling), while holding the power button with the temperature-down button for 2 seconds toggles the unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit. Cleaning and maintenance
Clean all parts that come into contact with herb or vapour on a regular basis. Clean the screen and the glass mouthpiece with isopropyl alcohol, and wash the silicone and plastic parts in warm water with washing-up liquid. After soaking, rinse and dry every part thoroughly.
Wipe the heating chamber with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol. After each cleaning, run a burn-off: empty chamber, highest temperature, until the device switches itself off.
Most common problems (XMAX V3 Pro+)
Weak vapour or high draw resistance
This is the most frequent report and it is almost always dirt, not a fault. The ceramic element in the mouthpiece collects condensate over time and the screen clogs up. Give the mouthpiece and the screen a full clean. Check your packing too: with convection heating the herb must not be compressed, and your draws should be long.
A magnet came loose while cleaning the mouthpiece
The magnets in the mouthpiece can come unstuck during cleaning, so handle them with care. A magnet detached during cleaning is not a manufacturing defect.
It does not switch on or charge
Diagnose the 18650 cell first, not the device: check the polarity, inspect the contacts and test another working cell, or charge the battery in an external charger. A worn-out cell is not a device fault and you can replace it yourself. Only when the vaporizer fails to work with a healthy, fully charged battery should you file a warranty claim.
The effect feels too mild
A subtle, gentle performance is simply the character of this model: a small chamber and a budget segment. For users with a high tolerance this is a mismatch of hardware, not a defect. The on-demand mode heats up longer and behaves close to the session mode, which is also a design trait.
Warranty
The XMAX V3 Pro+ is covered by a 2-year warranty. The serial number is printed on the original packaging and is required for a claim with the manufacturer, so keep the box.
