What’s in the box

The core of the kit is always the same: the vaporizer, a replaceable 18650 battery and a USB-C charging cable. The exact contents depend on the kit version, so check it on the product page before buying.

Use only the original accessories supplied with the device. Keep the box too: it carries the serial number, without which you cannot open a claim with the manufacturer.

First use

Before you pack the first chamber, give the device a quarter of an hour of preparation. New kit carries manufacturing residue inside that needs removing.

1. Charge the battery fully with the included USB-C cable. Charging is finished when the LED in the USB port glows green.
2. Clean the parts that touch the vapour: the screen and the ceramic vapour path with isopropyl alcohol, the silicone and the plastic mouthpiece in warm water with washing-up liquid. Rinse and dry it all thoroughly.
3. Run a burn-off: start the device with an empty chamber at the highest temperature and leave it until it switches itself off.
4. Repeat the burn-off a few times. Only then is the device ready for its first session.

Step-by-step operation

Operation comes down to four steps: pack the chamber, switch on, set the temperature and draw slowly. Each one in detail below.

1. Pack the chamber. Grind your herb to a medium-fine consistency. The chamber should be full, but do not press the herb down too hard, because convection needs airflow.
2. Switch it on. Click the power button 3 times.
3. Set the temperature. Adjust it with the buttons within the 100-220°C range. When the set temperature is reached, the device signals it with a vibration.
4. Draw. Take long, slow and even draws through the mouthpiece.

Operating modes and extra settings

• Changing the operating mode and settings: hold the power button and the temperature-up button together for 2 seconds.
• Switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit: hold the power button and the temperature-down button together for 2 seconds.
• Charging: plug in the USB-C cable and charging information appears on the display. When it is done, the battery icon stays lit.

Cleaning and maintenance

Regular cleaning of the parts that touch herb and vapour keeps the flavour clean and the performance full. In this model it matters even more, because the ceramic element in the mouthpiece collects condensation and herb particles, and the screen clogs over time.

• Clean the screen, the ceramic vapour path and other removable parts with isopropyl alcohol (ISO).
• Wash the silicone parts and the plastic mouthpiece in warm water with washing-up liquid.
• After soaking, rinse and dry the parts thoroughly.
• Clean the heating chamber with a cotton bud soaked in ISO.
• After cleaning, run a burn-off: empty chamber, highest temperature, until it switches itself off.

The ceramic element is easiest to wipe with a brush right after a session, while it is still warm. When taking the mouthpiece apart, watch out for the magnets, because they can come unstuck.

Most common problems (XMAX V3 Pro)

Weak vapour and high draw resistance

This is the most frequent report, and it is almost always dirt, not a fault. Take the mouthpiece apart, clean the ceramic element and the screen of condensation, and you will feel the difference immediately. Also check that the herb in the chamber is not compacted: convection needs loose packing and long draws.

If a magnet comes off during cleaning, glue it back in place. That is not a factory defect.

The device does not switch on or charge

Start with the battery, not the device. Check the polarity and the state of the contacts, then test the kit with another healthy 18650 cell or charge the cell in an external charger. A worn-out battery is not a device fault: you swap it yourself in seconds.

Only when the vaporizer refuses to work despite a healthy, charged cell should you file a complaint.

The device feels too gentle

A delicate, subtle effect is the character of this model, a result of the small chamber. For people with high tolerance that is a matter of equipment mismatch, not a fault. The same goes for on-demand mode: it works less powerfully than session mode and behaves quite close to it, which is how it is built.

Warranty

The X-MAX V3 Pro is covered by a 2-year warranty. For a claim with the manufacturer you need the serial number from the original box, so keep the packaging.
