A water adapter is the part that connects your vaporizer to a bong, bubbler or water pipe, so the vapor passes through water before it reaches your lungs. The result: a cooler, smoother draw and less throat irritation during longer sessions.
The key thing when choosing one is the fit. The adapter has to match both your vaporizer model and the ground-glass joint size of your glass (most often 14.5 mm or 18.8 mm). Below you’ll find adapters made for specific devices, plus universal connectors for DynaVap and popular portable models.

Types of water adapters for vaporizers

Adapters differ mainly in how they mount and what they’re designed for. Some are built for a specific model (e.g. Mighty, PAX, Tinymight 2), some work universally with devices that share a similar mouthpiece design, and a separate group covers connectors for water filters and DynaVap itself.

If you care most about… Look for…
a guaranteed fit to your device adapters dedicated to a specific model (e.g. Crafty / Mighty, PAX 2/3, Tinymight 2)
compatibility with more devices universal adapters and joint-size reducers (e.g. 18.8 mm to 14.5 mm)
use with a DynaVap dedicated 3-in-1 adapters and BB mouthpieces with a built-in water connector
budget silicone and ceramic adapters (from just a few euros) instead of glass
the cleanest flavor glass parts, which don’t affect the taste of the vapor

At VapeFully we check that an adapter genuinely fits the device and the glass before it goes into the range. We look at how tight the connection is, the material that comes into contact with vapor, and whether the design makes cleaning awkward. If you’re not sure which joint size fits your bong, message us and we’ll help you pick a part that simply works.

How to choose a water adapter for your vaporizer?

Start with two things: which vaporizer you have and the joint size of your glass. Those two details solve 90% of the choice. The adapter bridges both worlds, so it has to fit the vaporizer’s mouthpiece or chamber on one side and the opening in the bong or bubbler on the other.

Adapter dedicated to a vaporizer model

The simplest and safest route if you own a popular device. For models such as the Crafty, Mighty, PAX 2/3/Plus/Mini, Arizer Solo, Tinymight 2 or FURY there are adapters designed for the specific mouthpiece. They fit precisely, sit firmly in place and don’t call for any improvising. It’s a good choice when you want a guaranteed fit without checking diameters.

Universal adapter and joint reducer

If your model isn’t on the dedicated list, or you own several devices, reach for a universal adapter or a reducer such as 18.8 mm (F) to 14.5 mm (M). It lets you fit glass with a different joint to the gear you already have. With universal options it’s worth making sure your vaporizer’s mouthpiece diameter falls within the range stated by the adapter’s maker.

DynaVap adapter

The DynaVap is a separate case, because it connects to glass differently than electronic vaporizers. In the range you’ll find 3-in-1 adapters, 10 mm connectors, and BB6 and BB9 mouthpieces with a built-in water connector. If you use a VapCap with a bong regularly, a mouthpiece with an integrated adapter is often more convenient than a separate connector.

Material: glass, silicone or ceramic

Borosilicate glass gives the cleanest flavor and looks the best, but it’s pricier and more fragile. Silicone is cheap, drop-resistant and easy to carry, though over the years it can subtly affect the aroma. Ceramic sits somewhere in between. For sessions at home most people go for glass; for use on the move, silicone.

What to check before you buy

An adapter looks simple, but a few details decide whether it’ll be comfortable in everyday use.

Joint size and type

This is the most common reason for a missed purchase. Bongs and bubblers usually have a 14.5 mm or 18.8 mm joint, in a male (M) or female (F) version. Check what opening your glass has before you choose an adapter. If the sizes don’t match, a reducer will help.

Compatibility with your vaporizer

The adapter has to seal tightly against your device’s mouthpiece or chamber. With dedicated models that’s no issue; with universal ones it’s worth comparing the dimensions. A tight connection matters – vapor and flavor escape through any leak.

Ease of cleaning

Vapor passes through the adapter, so residue builds up on it over time. Glass parts are easiest to clean with isopropyl alcohol, while silicone can be rinsed in warm water. Regular cleaning keeps the airflow free and the flavor clean. Short, simple adapters clean faster than elaborate 3-in-1 builds.

Price and durability

Adapters start at just a few euros (silicone, ceramic) and run up to around 35 euros for elaborate DynaVap mouthpieces with a connector. The cheaper options are perfectly enough to start with; you’ll pick glass when flavor and looks matter to you. Keep in mind that glass is fragile – if the adapter is going to travel with you, consider silicone.

Choose your water adapter at VapeFully

In the range you’ll find adapters for the most popular vaporizers: Storz & Bickel (Crafty, Mighty), PAX, Arizer, Tinymight, DynaVap, X-MAX, DaVinci, along with universal connectors from High Labs. Some are made for specific models, others handle whole families of devices.

Adapters are an accessory that works best paired with well-chosen glass. If you’re still putting your setup together, take a look at the bongs and water pipes category and the bubblers for vaporizers. A run-through of spare parts and replacement accessories also comes in handy if you want backup pieces on hand.

Water filtration doesn’t change the legal status of the substance being vaporized – an adapter is simply a part that connects the gear. What it does help with is reducing contact with hot, dry vapor and making longer sessions gentler on the throat. If you’re not sure which adapter fits your setup, message us and we’ll pick a part that works with your gear.
