Here you’ll find filter tips and joint tips: Purize carbon filters with activated charcoal, plus classic and rolled RAW card tips.
The tip decides whether dry herb stays out of your mouth, how the joint draws and how hot the smoke feels. The simplest pick is a cheap RAW card tip for everyday use. If you want cooler smoke and want to strip out some of the tar, reach for Purize carbon filters.
Below we explain how charcoal differs from card, which sizes and shapes work best, and what to look at when choosing.

Carbon vs card filter tips – what’s the difference

Every joint filter tip does one thing the same way: it keeps dry herb from being pulled into your mouth and stabilises the end of the joint. The rest comes down to the material. Card is cheap, simple and available in many shapes. Activated charcoal adds real filtration of some combustion by-products and noticeably cools the smoke.

If you care about… Look for…
the lowest price and simplicity RAW card tips, ready-made sizes, large packs to stock up
cooler smoke and less throat irritation Purize carbon filters, 6 mm diameter, ceramic caps that hold back charcoal dust
convenience and rolling speed prerolled tips, ready-made rolls, packs with plenty of pieces
draw control and joint shape slim diameter (approx. 6 mm) versus wide, conical versions for cone-style joints
discretion and looks tips in dark colours (RAW Black) or Purize colour mixes

At VapeFully we look at filter tips the way our customers use them day to day: whether the card rolls well and holds its shape, whether the charcoal really cools and doesn’t shed dust, and whether a given size fits a typical rolling paper. That’s why we stock two brands that prove themselves in practice: budget-friendly RAW and carbon-based Purize.

Filter tips are, of course, only one part of the puzzle. For full filtration without smoke from combustion there’s vaporization, and for bigger sessions – bongs, where the smoke is filtered through water.

How to choose joint filter tips

Start with how you roll and what bothers you. Someone who rolls fast and cheap every day will pick a different tip than someone whose throat gets irritated and who wants cooler smoke. The three things that really drive the choice are material, size and form (flat card to roll yourself or a ready-rolled tip).

RAW card tips – cheap and everyday

Classic RAW card tips are the simplest and cheapest option. You roll them yourself from a strip of card, and their job is clear: they keep dry herb out of your mouth and maintain an even draw. Unbleached tips cost next to nothing, and perforated versions (wide, PRO Tips, CONE MAESTRO) roll up more easily and hold their shape better.

This is a good choice when you want to save money and don’t need extra filtration. Just keep one thing in mind: card doesn’t strip out tar from combustion, so it mainly protects against pulling in dry herb, not against combustion by-products.

Purize carbon filters – cooler smoke and filtration

Activated charcoal filters are another level. Purize is a German brand that popularised slim carbon filter tips with ceramic caps – those caps hold back charcoal dust so it doesn’t reach your mouth. Activated charcoal catches some of the tar from the smoke and cools it noticeably, which translates into less throat irritation and a cleaner taste.

In the range you’ll find XTRA Slim versions (5.9-6 mm), longer XTRA Long, conical Conical for cone-style joints, and packs from 10 up to 250 pieces. The 6 mm diameter fits most rolling papers, and large packs (e.g. 100-250 pcs) clearly bring down the price per piece.

Prerolled tips – ready-made rolls

If you don’t want to roll card every single time, grab ready-rolled tips. You pull RAW Prerolled Tips out of the box already rolled and drop them straight into the joint. They come in slim, wide and conical (CONE) versions, in small 21-piece packs and large 100-200-piece stocks, including a handy metal tin.

This is mostly about convenience for people who roll often and value a repeatable, even tip shape without any fuss.

What to check before buying

Diameter and shape

The most common size is slim, around 6 mm – it fits standard rolling papers and gives a comfortable draw. Wide versions are broader and let through more air, while conical (cone) ones work well for joints that flare out towards the top. Match the size to how thick you roll your joints.

Material and filtration

Card mainly protects against dry herb in your mouth and is the cheapest. Activated charcoal adds the stripping of some tar and stronger cooling of the smoke. Bear in mind, though, that even the best filter tip doesn’t remove all combustion by-products – it’s still smoke. A less burdensome alternative to smoking is vaporization, without the smoke produced during combustion.

Number of pieces per pack

Filter tips go quickly, so it pays to look at the price per piece rather than just per pack. Small packs (10-33 pcs) are good for a trial, while large stocks (50-250 pcs) work out clearly cheaper per piece if you roll regularly.

Filter tips and joint tips at VapeFully

In the range we have two brands that cover both needs: cheap RAW card and carbon Purize. RAW is the classic for people who value simplicity and a low price – from unbleached tips to ready-rolled tips. Purize is the choice when you want cooler smoke and real filtration of some of the tar thanks to activated charcoal.

Filter tips go well with other rolling accessories. Check out rolling papers, and for an even grind of your dry herb a grinder comes in handy. For more accessories, browse the accessories section.
