Cannabis butter – what is it? 🧈

Cannabis butter is a spread that combines traditional taste with the beneficial properties of cannabis. It contains cannabinoids, such as THC, which have psychoactive and therapeutic effects. This makes cannabis butter useful in both cooking and medicine.

This product is naturally made using traditional butter as a base. We combine it with active ingredients from cannabis. The effects of cannabis butter depend on which specific herbs we use. All it takes is heat treatment to combine cannabis and traditional butter – it’s really simple!

Cannabis butter – how to eat it? 🍽️

Cannabis butter can be used in many ways – for example, spread on bread, combined with dishes, or even used to prepare cannabis tea. Just add a spoonful of butter to hot water with herbs to get an aromatic drink that not only warms you up but also has relaxing effects.

Unfortunately, cannabis butter isn’t suitable for making CBD gummies. These sweet snacks, besides their taste value, also offer health properties. Nevertheless, you can prepare other sweet treats with the butter. It can be used to create various cakes and biscuits.

Remember that cannabis butter can be used beyond the kitchen. You can also use it as an ointment or massage oil. Its nourishing and relaxing properties can bring many therapeutic benefits.

Cannabis butter can be used in almost any way. It’s ready for consumption after proper preparation – even without additives it will provide the expected effects.

However, one must be careful with dosing. Cannabis butter, like other products containing active cannabis substances, can have unpredictable effects. Dosing and effects differ significantly here compared to herbs. Besides, the effects of butter last much longer than vaporisation – up to 6 to 8 hours.

How to make cannabis butter? 🍲

Making cannabis butter is simpler than you think! Here are the steps to help you in this process:

  1. Ingredients: You’ll need 200g butter (preferably unsalted) and about 10-15g of cannabis herb (dosage should be adjusted according to personal preference);
  2. Decarboxylation: Before cooking, you must activate the cannabinoids in the herb. First, grind the herbs. Then heat the oven to 115°C, spread the ground herb on a baking sheet and bake for about 30-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. This process will make THC active;
  3. Cooking: Melt the butter in a pot over low heat. Add the cooled cannabis herb. Maintain temperature at 70-90°C for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to boil the butter as this can destroy valuable cannabinoids;
  4. Straining: After cooking, filter the butter through a cheesecloth or a strainer to separate plant residue. Pour the liquid into a mould or jar and let it cool. The butter will solidify when chilled;
  5. Storage: Store the butter in the refrigerator, where it can stay fresh for several weeks. You can also freeze it to extend its shelf life.

Cannabis butter isn’t just a tasty addition but also a way to introduce healthy cannabinoids into your diet. It’s also an ideal solution if we don’t want to take medical cannabis through inhalation.

When preparing cannabis butter, pay attention to the dose. The more herbs we use in production – the stronger the butter’s effects will be. Dosing depends primarily on personal preference. Nevertheless, about 7-10g of herb per 200g of butter is considered a standard.

Cannabis butter – summary 🤔

Cannabis butter is a versatile product that can be used in many aspects of life. From healthy cannabis food to various culinary recipes, its application is almost unlimited.

Cannabis butter is an ideal way to combine pleasure with benefit. In the kitchen, it works as an unusual addition, in medicine – as natural health support. However, moderation is key here, because although this green speciality can add character to dishes, it’s worth remembering its strength and using it wisely.

With CBD herb, you can enrich your diet with valuable nutrients that support health and well-being. It’s worth experimenting with cannabis butter to discover its full potential.

However, remember, especially at the beginning of your “journey”, to use a slightly lower dose for safety. Too many active substances in cannabis butter can cause unpredictable negative effects like paranoia, anxiety attacks, or restlessness.
