🌿 Hemp – properties and uses

Unlike marijuana, hemp is known for its wide range of applications due to its unique properties. The main component of hemp is the CBD cannabinoid, which has numerous positive health effects. In medicine, hemp is known for its calming, regenerating, and pain-relieving effects, supporting the treatment of neurological diseases, reducing inflammation, and anxiety, and stabilizing blood sugar levels. Additionally, hemp seeds are a rich source of high-quality protein, fiber, antioxidant vitamins (such as vitamins E and C), and omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, making them a valuable part of a healthy diet. In the cosmetics industry, hemp oil, rich in unsaturated fatty acids, phospholipids, phytosterols, minerals, and vitamins, provides moisturizing, regenerating, and protective benefits for the skin, supporting the care of the complexion, hair, and nails. Moreover, in the kitchen, both hemp seeds and hemp oil are valuable sources of nutrients, adding nutritional value to a variety of dishes. So we know that many things can be made using hemp.

Is hemp legal in Europe? ⚖️

Depending on the country, the laws may vary. However, the European Union has accepted that hemp products are legal – provided they contain up to 0.2% THC. Most countries have adopted this value, but others have altered their internal laws to a different value (usually higher). If a product contains more THC, its possession and use are not legal. Nonetheless, most hemp products on the market are 100% legal. Producers ensure that their CBD flowers or oils contain no more than 0.2% THC.

The allowed THC limits vary depending on the country, so it is important to pay attention to the THC content in imported products. Additionally, in some countries, only the THC itself is counted towards the limit, not the total THC (the sum of THC and THCA).

In most cases, both on websites and on packaging or leaflets, you can find information that the product contains up to 0.2% THC, but this does not always mean that the total THC is within this limit. Therefore, it is worth choosing products from reliable and verified manufacturers and suppliers to be 100% sure that the product is legal and does not contain more THC than legally allowed.

If you plan to buy hemp-based products, you should make sure they are legal. Unfortunately, there are still producers on the market who, despite assurances that all products contain less than 0.2% THC, are not legal. This is usually because these products simply contain more, and are not properly tested. Possessing or using such products is not legal – it is important to remember this.

🪴 Hemp – is cultivation allowed?

For some time now, hemp products have been back in vogue – partly thanks to numerous studies that have confirmed the presence of cannabidiol, or CBD, in hemp, which has many positive properties.

However, it should be remembered that to grow hemp, you need to have the appropriate permits. Not everyone can plant hemp in their garden or on their plot without any consequences. Currently, there are many specialized institutions with the necessary permits and certificates, so there is no problem in purchasing high-quality hemp products.

Hemp offers powerful potential for both industry and medicine due to its diverse applications and low environmental impact. Despite initial restrictions, current regulations allow for hemp cultivation, provided that a special permit is obtained and EU-approved varieties with less than 0.2% THC are used.

Many people associate hemp with marijuana – and in some ways, this is true, but not entirely. The key is to distinguish between hemp and marijuana. Marijuana, or cannabis, is not legal in most European countries. It contains much more THC and has psychoactive effects, which is why its possession and use are illegal. Of course, in some countries, marijuana is permitted for recreational use, such as in Germany. An exception is medical marijuana, which has been legalized in many countries and helps patients with many illnesses.

It is completely different in the case of hemp. This plant does not have such a high THC content. Its main ingredient is CBD, or cannabidiol, which has many positive properties. For this reason, many dietary supplements, cosmetics, or superfood-type foods are made from hemp. The most significant difference, however, is that hemp is legal. It’s important to know this distinction!

Hemp products 🍃

It is advisable to avoid unverified products that do not inspire trust – unfortunately, they are often not safe, which is also very important. Much better choices are products from verified manufacturers and suppliers who enjoy customer trust.

It is worth buying CBD products in reputable stores where you can be sure they have been tested and their purchase is completely safe. Welcome to VapeFully!

Hemp – summary

The popularity of hemp products like CBD flowers, oils, or CBD pre-rolls has brought attention to hemp. It is characterized by a high CBD content, offering health benefits in medicine, cosmetics, and cooking. Hemp differs from marijuana mainly in its THC content, which makes it legal, unlike marijuana. The growing interest in hemp is due to its potential health benefits and legal status.
