How the Gentleman Pipe works with the Lotus cap
You heat the metal plate shaped like a lotus flower from the outside with a butane torch, a few seconds in a circular motion. On a slow inhale, air enters through the openings at the base of the cap and flows under the heated plate, cut off from the flame and its exhaust. What comes off the herb is vapour instead of smoke. Vaporizing is considered less harmful than smoking, but it is not neutral for your health. You control the temperature with the pace of your inhale: slower means hotter.
